Drumm McNaughton, PhD
Dr. Drumm McNaughton is an international strategic management pioneer, change management expert, talent development innovator, and leadership and organization culture professional. He has stimulated transformation and propelled double-digit growth in a diverse set of industries from startups to Fortune 500 through innovative approaches to strategy and implementation, governance, accreditation, change management, talent management, leadership and culture, and succession planning, and has had P&L responsibility in multiple industries. He has lived overseas 19 years and has extensive international work and travel experience (50+ countries). His change initiatives and counsel have resulted in over $500 million to organizations’ bottom line.
Dr. McNaughton’s sample engagement roster includes Fortune 500 companies such as Dell Computer and DuPont; King Saud, Chapman, Central Michigan, EC-Council, Capella, and Trident University; Los Angeles Unified School District; COO of two high tech startups; CEO of the US standards body for management consultants; American Board of Orthodontics and Tennessee Dental Association; US Air Force Reserve and US Navy; and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He also served in the U.S. Navy as a Mission and Aircraft Commander for Navy reconnaissance aircraft.
He has 15+ years of board services, including LIGS University (Chair, Nominating and Governance Committee), International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (Board Secretary and Lead Director), Institute of Management Consultants USA (multiple positions including Chair and CEO, Vice Chair, Chair of Nominations Committee, and Chair of the Executive / Operations Committee), Smarter Planet Enterprises Corp., and Guild.
He has been recognized for excellence throughout his career, including been named Chair Emeritus, Fellow, and Life Member of the Institute of Management Consultants USA, and a Governance Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
He earned his PhD and MA in Human & Organizational Systems from the Fielding Graduate Institute, and a BS in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy.
He and his wife live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and he enjoys golf, traveling (especially to Hawaii), reading, and working out.
